News: Lambda Marine completes major overhaul of on-board IT system on board UAE Superyacht LAN optimization Lambda Marine completes major overhaul of on-board IT system on board UAE superyachtLambda Marine recently completed a major overhaul of an on-board IT system on board a UAE superyacht. Following an extensive survey and mapping of the LAN system on board the yacht, Lambda Marine proposed to re-organize its cabling structure and IT rack organization and to reprogram its firewall and network-switches. Various systems and components were replaced in order to optimize its performance and reliability, including the firewall, deck switches, cabin switches and WIFI access points. Customized VSAT/4G/3G gateway switching was introduced to enable crew and guests to use different Internet gateways depending on specific parameters. Captain and crew were highly satisfied with the subsequent dramatic increase in network performance, efficiency and reliability. Lambda Marine was invited for this project after multiple reputed service providers had declined this complicated project.  IT Rack before and after. |
