The system provides a 90° field-of-view depth map up to 500m ahead or 120° up to 200m ahead with a single ping at speeds up to 20 knots. The Argos 1000 is one of FarSounder's Argos series of Forward-Looking-Sonar (FLS) systems for surface ship navigation and obstacle avoidance using real-time 3D imagery technology. The system provides a 60° field-of-view depth map up to 1000m ahead or a 90° field-of-view depth map up to 500m ahead or a 120° field-of-view depth map up to 200m ahead with a single ping at speeds up to 25 knots.
